Finetuning the Songs

When we met with our celebrant Victoria last Friday, she asked us what songs we were having for each part of the ceremony, while we had started to put together a list of songs, we hadn't really put alot of thought to what we'd play when.

So with that prompt from Victoria, we put our thinking caps on, so far we have it narrowed down to:

Songs for the big day - list 1

We've decided to use my iPod plugged into the sound system in the hall, rather than a band or DJ for music for our wedding & reception. And we're slowly gathering a list of songs we love that we want to include.

We still need to split them up into sections ie Ceremony, First Dance, Dancing, Background etc etc, but these are some of our faves so far.

Beyonce's Halo, need I say more?

What a beautiful song, it's going to be our 'main song', not sure when we'll use it, I just know whenever we use it there better be a good supply of tissues and makeup touchups!  I just can't help it, the song brings me to tears just about every time I hear it!

Mr Mel calls it 'the crying song', secretly I think he's a bit worried he'll ball like a baby too :)
